A Re-imagining of Robin Hood set in colonial Brazil.
In Brazilian history, groups of escaped slaves would often form or join hidden communities, the Quilombos. Quilombos were culturally diverse and self-sufficient. However, that way of life was not without its dangers as slave-owners would contract hunters to recapture any escaped slaves and dismantle these communities.  In this retelling, Robin Hood is a member of one of those Quilombos and rescues other slaves from land owners, stealing their money and burning the plantations, ensuring they won't be able to partake again in the slave trade.

Concept variation for the reimagined Robin Hood.
